Find The Best Cleanser For Your Skin

When shopping at the store, it can sure be an overwhelming experience for finding the correct facial body/wash product for you to put your money down on. You are trying to find the best and most reliable facial cleanser that can effectively relieve unwanted spots or pimples. So the question is, What Soap or body wash product will have best effect for your skin?

Well there is a doctor Named Jami Miller, assistant professor of medicine in the department of dermatology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. Miller says that we typically choose the best product that works best for us. She also goes on to state that people should ignore the misleading and deceptive advertising of body wash and facial gels. Miller believes that people should instead look for products that fit their skin genre to whether it is usually sensitive and dry, or oily.

Many Body and facial washes have much in common including removing bacteria, dirt, and also oils in the skin. But unfortunately most of them remove the huge majority of the oils and some even every drop of skin oil. That should be great right? Wrong! removing too much oil can cause the skin to turn dry, way too dry and fragile says Miller. Instead Miller suggest that we should look for body washes that state Moisturizing. These products will not only clean all the pile up of oil and bacteria but will also moisturize leaving a layer of oil to replenish the lost oils. This will prevent the skin from a dry, rough, and uncomfortable quality.

No Need For Too Much Foam

Despite what many commercials and advertisements may say or try to convince you with, you should never listen to them when they bombard you with products containing a lot of foam. They tend to persist that more foam cleans better giving pleasant quality. But in reality, more foam creates dryer and fragile skin. It is best to avoid this issue by buying soap supporting sensitive skin like Dove, Aveeno, Cetaphil, or CeraVe.

Film

Film, (Not the camera and video material) is a thin layer or barrier on the skin left over from some soaps that seals a perfect amount of oil into the skin. As long as it doesn't lead to a breakout or greasy face, it should be okay for your skin and leave a comfortable moisturizing tone. Some Soaps fail to leave an efficient amount of film and end up drying the skin though also cleaning it. Dr. Miller believes that both Body wash and soap products can contain the efficient film attribute, and warns us to stay away from those that don't have that attribute.

Miller also suggest that if you hate film left behind and it makes your face greasy then you can try newer formulations of soap, body wash, and shower gel and moisturizers. The skin's natural lipids will create effective moisture and not leave a greasy face.

What About Bar Soaps

Many people believe that regular bar of soaps are effective for your skin. However, most soaps can be unpleasant and drying to your skin.

Miller states that the most important step to take is to check for ingredients in soap that contain lye. Deodorant and lye soaps often destroy the oils and do not replace them. Miller says that a too oily face is not a big of a deal as you can use soaps to relay a layer of oil such as Beauty soaps. But, Miller goes on saying that rough harsh soaps will dry the skin completely and that you may need to moisturize afterwards.

So What Items Should You Consider?

Chose Moisturizing Products that leave skin clean and an effective layer of oil. Also consider sensitive products for sensitive skin. Always understand your skin's issue before approaching the right product.

Don't forget about smooth beauty soaps as they are useful too.

Finally, Don't take Dr. Miller's input for granted.

Despite that oily skin can withstand the effects of most products, these are some tips that pretty much benefit all skin types:

- Choose mild cleanser with No Lye.

- Don't Ever Use Hot Water when bathing, only cool and warm water.

-Always Use Moisturizer immediately after drying the skin.

- Never Over Cleanse, for it can lead to terrible dryness.

-Watch out for Signs Of Dryness, such as itching, redness, or flaking

If all Cleansing products, tips, and methods still fail to end your dry and rough skin condition, you should consider seeing a dermatologist to potentially get a prescription skin care instead of trying another cleanser.
